This range was created and designed by Mourad and Arlette Boutros. Its weights are suitable for body texts, headlines and sub-headings. The outline, shadow and inline versions can be used to give extra decoration to all types of communication materials. The design is based on the classical Naskhi style (Sharp) respecting Arabic calligraphy and cultural rules. The addition of linked straight lines to match the Latin baseline level is designed to achieve harmony when used alongside a Latin equivalent typeface such as Garamond, Palatino and Times Roman as well as Helvetica, Futura and Frutiger.
This range is available in TrueType (Unicode) format for Arabic versions of Microsoft Windows 95, 98 NT and ME and for all versions of Windows 2000 and XP.
Please note that this range will not work with non-Arabic editions of Microsoft Windows 95, 98 NT and ME. For the Apple Macintosh, the range is available in PostScript format for Mac OS with Arabic support.
